The Autauga Academy Generals accept challenges on the athletic field as well as in the classroom.  Although secondary to academics, sports are an integral part of life at Autauga Academy, and our relatively small student population gives our students the opportunity to participate fully.

With an emphasis on fundamentals and sportsmanship, Autauga Academy currently sponsors twelve teams in seven different sports for boys and girls in grades seven through twelve.

We also sponsor "pee-wee" teams in football, cheerleading, basketball, and baseball for our elementary students in an effort to build camaraderie for the future.

As a member of the Alabama Independent School Association (AISA), Autauga Academy is governed by this organization's rules regarding eligibility and competition.  To participate on any team, each student must have a physical examination each school year, and meet the appropriate academic requirements.  To be eligible for fall sports, students must have met the requirements for promotion at the end of the previous school year.  For spring sports, students must earn at least two credits during the first semester.
